My Story

Inspired by memories, family, and the moments that matter most.

Growing Up on the Farm

I grew up on a farm in Newent, Gloucestershire, where so many of my happiest memories were made.

Life there was full of freedom and imagination — being surrounded by animals, riding motorbikes through the fields, building dens out of old farm equipment, and sleeping outside under the stars to watch meteor showers. Even the quieter moments, like walking our dogs or watching fireworks over Gloucester, have stayed with me ever since.

Finding My Way Back to Art

I’ve always loved painting. It’s something I’ve done from a young age, but for a long time I never had the confidence to share my work. Even though I was surrounded by friends who were successful artists, it took me a while to realise that my work and my perspective were worth sharing too.

Now, my paintings are inspired by the moments that matter most.

The Moments I Love to Capture

I’m drawn to the kinds of memories we all hold onto — childhood moments, family life, the small connections between siblings, grandparents, or close friends. They’re often the moments that feel ordinary at the time, but become the most meaningful as time passes. I love capturing these in a way that feels soft, natural, and timeless.

Inspiration from the World Around Me

Travel has also played a big part in shaping how I see the world. Visiting places like Mexico, Spain, America, Cyprus, and Thailand has given me a deeper appreciation for different ways of life, and that continues to influence my work in subtle ways.

Bringing Stories to Life

More recently, I’ve started illustrating children’s books — often inspired by personal memories, and sometimes personalised so families can see their own stories brought to life. It’s something I’m really excited to keep developing.

I work mainly in watercolour and oils, choosing whichever feels right to capture the emotion and atmosphere of each piece.
